Lucton International School Chongqing has completed a leadership transition. Former Founding Head Ms. Sarah Ezdani stepped down in June 2025, and Mr. Steven Yang has since assumed the role of Head of School, taking full responsibility for the school’s overall operations and development.

Mr. Yang went to the UK at the age of 14 to pursue his education, becoming the first student from mainland China to attend Lucton School. He later graduated from University College London, where he read Statistics, Economics and Finance. He has long been committed to advancing high-quality British education in China, introducing Lucton School—a distinguished independent boarding school with over 300 years of history—into the country.

In 2022, Lucton International School Chongqing was formally established, with Mr. Yang serving as Chairman of Governors. Since 2025, he has taken on the role of Head of School, leading the school’s strategic development and educational practice, and continuing to promote the implementation and innovation of a British holistic education in China.

He is supported by Roy Donnan, Deputy Head-Academic, who works collaboratively to advance curriculum development and uphold the highest standards of teaching and learning.
