About UKMT-SMC
UKMT encourages mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and influence in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. Among many mathematical challenges organized by UKMT, their biggest competitions are the Junior, Intermediate and Senior Mathematical Challenge (JMC/IMC/SMC), which have over 700,000 entries from 6,000 schools each year, and are the UK's most popular school Mathematical Challenges.
Congratulations to the five students who have won the Gold or Silver Awards and have been invited to participate in the 2023 BOM, British Mathematical Olympiad, Round 1. Wish them excellent results.
Mathematics at Lucton School Chongqing
Lucton students' success in the UKMT-SMC was not only because of their serious study and hard work in mathematics, but also due to Lucton School Chongqing's teaching and competition planning.
In conjunction with the syllabus, the teachers will personalise the teaching of Mathematics according to the students' own circumstances, so that they can gradually find out what kind of competitions they are good at, and carefully select mathematics competitions suitable for different academic levels, and encourage students to participate in them in an organised and planned manner every year.
In addition, in order to meet the needs of students to prepare for mathematics competitions, Lucton School Chongqing offers a special CCA course about Mathematics Competition with professional instructors to provide practice and support for students.
Congratulations to all the Lucton students who won awards! Thanks to our teachers for their hard work and dedication! We hope that the students will actively participate in the next competitions and achieve further success!
