In the mid-term break, with the support of the FoL Committee, the University Guidance Team organised two meaningful field trips for the students to explore companies and organisations in the industry.

In the first day, Lucton students came to Chongqing University Architectural Planning and Design Institute, where they experienced the combination of art and technology behind architectural design. From planning to design, the students sat around with the teachers of the Design Institute, communicating and exploring the mysteries of architectural design.

Afterwards, the students stepped into the Chongqing University History Museum and gained an understanding of the historical origins and development, and appreciated the cultural heritage of this famous university.

In the second day, the students visited the Chongqing Branch and building of Guangfa Bank, where they had a look at the process of banking operations and learnt how the tellers serve customers and handle various financial transactions. Experts from the bank also introduced their structure and the functions of each department to the students and explained financial knowledge, which gave them a deeper understanding of the financial industry.

The students had a special activity, the money counting. After an introduction on how to recognise counterfeit currency, experts from the bank instructed the students on how to carry out the money counting activity.

The field trips not only gave the students a clearer understanding of their future education and career planning, but also stimulated their passion and interest in these fields. May Lucton students continue to maintain their curiosity and courage to explore the world.
