On 12th April, all the teachers, students and parents of Lucton School Chongqing actively participated in the fierce competition of Lucton Annual Sports Day on the Sports Field.
Lucton's four Houses, which are Lion House, Fox House, Star House and Knight House competed with each other for the Overall Sports Champion. Students from all houses tried their best to show their skills and fought for the honour of their houses.
In the badminton matches, the players were skilful and co-operative. Whether in the team events of men's doubles and mixed doubles, or in the single events of men's singles and women's singles, the players presented exciting duels for the spectators with their excellent skills.
On the basketball court, players from all houses fought tenaciously for every ball. During the basketball competition, they ran fast and changed tactics flexibly. In the end, Star House won the basketball competition with perfect teamwork and reliable players.
The track race set up four competitions: female sprint, male sprint, female 4×200 relay and male 4×200 relay. Every runner on the track gave their best effort and sprinted towards the finish line, showing amazing speed and endurance. The Knight House runners performed well and got good results, contributing points to the house.
The tug-of-war matches started with a whistle from the referee. Players hold the rope tightly, gaze resolute, weight down. Everyone exerted their strength in one place and fought to the end; the cheerleaders are enthusiastic and cheered for their respective houses. The applause and cheering on the field were intertwined, igniting the enthusiasm of the whole sports field.
In addition to the traditional matches, fun sports were also a highlight of the Sports Day. Kicking Bowling and Three-legged Race allowed students to enhance friendship and experience the fun of teamwork in the joyful competition.
After a fierce competition, finally Lion House won the overall champion of this Sports Day! They won with their excellent teamwork and outstanding individual performance. At the same time, students from other houses also showed their outstanding level of competition and the spirit of tenacity and hard work, creating excitement for the Sports Day.
