Lucton International School Chongqing (LSC) admissions for the 2026-2027 Academic Year are now open. We are delighted that you are considering LSC as one of your prospective schools.
LSC is an authorised international school offering education from Year 1 to Year 13. The School draws upon over 400 years of educational heritage from Blundell’s School in the UK, and operates under a formally granted licence issued by the Chongqing Municipal Education Commission.
Located within Tieshanping National Forest Park in Liangjiang New Area, the campus extends across approximately 43.8 mu (around 7.21-acres). Surrounded by extensive woodland, the School provides a calm and well-ordered environment, where the natural setting forms an integral part of daily learning and life. A limited number of boarding places are available for families who require them.
British Elite Independent School
Drawing on Blundell's four centuries of holistic educational tradition, LSC aligns closely with British independent school standards in its curriculum, teaching approach and school culture. Students are able to experience a coherent British-style education and learning environment while remaining in China.
Academic Excellence & Holistic Development
The School offers small class teaching with an approximate teacher–student ratio of 1:3. Lessons are delivered using original learning materials from the UK and supported by a faculty holding recognised international teaching qualifications. Alongside academic study, equal importance is placed on Chinese language development, character education and the cultivation of individual strengths.
Global Outlook
The academic pathway is structured around the English National Curriculum (ENC), leading to IGCSE and A-Level qualifications, preparing students for progression to leading universities worldwide.
Years 1–6: Key Stage 1-2 – inquiry-led learning and cross-curricular foundation
Years 7–9: Key Stage 3 – developing critical thinking and academic literacy
Years 10–11: IGCSE – subject depth, analytical skills, and exam readiness
Years 12–13: A-Level – academic specialisation and university preparation
Co-curricular activities, elite sports and international competitions further support students in developing their interests and extending their potential.
