The annual Lucton Bonfire & Halloween Night is a popular festival for all Luctonians. On October 28, it was held at Lucton, School Chongqing for the first time. We celebrated the gathering night, took potluck and organised a surprising dance party. Students and parents all dressed up and started a fashion show... Everyone enjoyed the wonderful night.
In order to decoration the campus for Halloween, students made preparations in advance. All decorations are created and planned by students, and most of them were handmade! They bought raw materials online, cut paintings, and even picked up branches from the forest as tools. After working for several nights, students finally presented their wonderful ideas perfectly.
At the beginning, the first appointment ceremony of Friends of Lucton, FoL, was held. Ms. Chen, the President of FoL 2022-2023, was invited to lead all families and schools to work together. As the representative of parents, she encouraged students not to be conceited or discouraged during learning, but to develop good learning habits and strive to pursue their dreams. Meanwhile, she also expressed the vision and determination that families and the school should work together to raise children and pursue a harmonious development for both.
The music of Halloween was played and students and parents took their pumpkin lanterns, painted themselves with special makeup, and dressed in distinguished costumes. And they began to perform in the fashion show as cute Psyduck, dark sister, witch in black, funny zombie, etc. in cool style. The costumes with different styles attracted screams and applause at the scene, leaving a happy group photo on the annual event.
As the term Potluck implies, it is a feast which collects hundreds of specialties brought by every Lucton family and staff. Hundreds of delicious dishes were placed all over the table. Spicy chicken nuggets, marinated beef tendons, sushi, water-chestnut pudding, Beijing roast duck, salad, egg rolls, spicy shrimp, and a variety of snacks... Everyone enjoyed the nice food together and chatted happily. This night, many Luctonians gathered here to enjoy the warm atmosphere with the Lucton families.
This day was also a special day, which coincides to be Leo L's birthday. His family secretly prepared a surprise for him. All the people presented sang the birthday song together, which resounded throughout the campus. We hope that the warmth of Lucton family will accompany every student's growth in their future.
Under the starry sky with evening breeze, all Luctonians came to the Fountain Plaza for the surprise. The students first performed the dance of Macarena from Hotel Transylvania 3. They copied the monster's movements in the film and vividly restored them... Then, under the encouragement of Ms. Sarah Ezdani, the Founding Academic Head, students invited parents and teachers to jointly perform the swing dance of Hokey Pokey. How wonderful!
Lucton Bonfire & Halloween Night ended with laughter. Every reunion always makes people look forward to it. For every Luctonian, every companionship is precious, and every journey together is the power that warms you and me to move forward.
