On the afternoon of 10th September, the MCC and Lucton Strategic Partnership Signing Ceremony and Lucton Chongqing Launch Event were jointly organised by Lucton Education Group and MCC Real Estate Chongqing Co., Ltd. This event was grandly held at Meliá Chongqing, a new landmark in Tieshanping, Chongqing. Lucton, the century-old education brand from the UK will open its second chapter in China since Lucton Shanghai. Lucton Chongqing will implement the concept of holistic education, adopt the integrated essence of Eastern and Western education philosophies, committed to discovering each student’s unique talents and potential, and aspire to bring out the best of every individual.
Leaders of Jiangbei District, Jiangbei District Edu Commission, Investment Promotion Bureau, Culture and Tourism Development Commission, Park Management Centre, Tieshanping Street Office witnessed the signing ceremony. Stephen Ellison, British Consul General in Chongqing, leaders of MCC Real Estate Chongqing Co., Ltd, Lucton Education Group, Mabel Li, Director of Examinations Southwest China, British Council, Clem Parrish, Headmaster of Lucton Shanghai, and various mainstream media in Chongqing, as well as families who have a strong interest in international education, all participated in the event and witnessed this important moment when Lucton, the distinguished British education brand with more than 310 years’ history, officially launched in Chongqing.
Stephen Ellison, British Consul General in Chongqing, Jie Wang, Deputy General Manager of MCC Real Estate Chongqing Co., Ltd, Steven Yang, Chairman of Governors of Lucton Chongqing and Clem Parrish, Headmaster of Lucton Shanghai addressed the conference respectively. The leaders of MCC Real Estate Chongqing Co., Ltd demonstrated the MCC Tongluo Town project at the conference. At the conference, Lucton Education Group and MCC Real Estate Chongqing Co., Ltd. signed MCC and Lucton strategic cooperation agreement. In the expansion plan of the International School Projects in Chongqing, Lucton is the only designated partner of MCC.
British Council and Opal Education signed strategic cooperation agreement. British Council is the UK’s international organisation for educational opportunities and cultural relations. Operated by Opal Education, Lucton Chongqing will join the British Council Partner Schools Programme. Students and teachers of Lucton will enjoy the global resources and academic support brought by British Council in the future.
After the signing ceremony, the launch ceremony of MCC and Lucton strategic cooperation gradually pushed the entire event to a climax, which symbolised the official launch of Lucton in Chongqing.
The launch event is the first public appearance of Lucton in Chongqing. The relevant leaders of Jiangbei District, Stephen Ellison, British Consul General in Chongqing, the relevant leaders of British Council and other guests spoke highly of the launch event.
